Road trip to this year's London Concours at the Honorable Artillery Company. Adrian at AlfaAid was invited to the Alfa Romeo stand hosted by GRRC, to display his Alfa Romeo RZ. It's a rare convertible, so being June, we hoped for good weather for the drive into London. The weather had other ideas, so I packed a few extra lens cloths for the conditions. We could have trailered the RZ, but where's the fun in that? Plus we got the opportunity to pop into the Regency Cafe for a late breakfast. The London Concours is a great event and this year's displays are very mixed, from classics to hypercars and everything in between. What I find interesting is the continued growth of 'remastered' cars, or restomods, recreations or renewals. Essentially the shift back to an analogue driving experience, with carefully chosen and designed modern touches. To quote Peter at GP Customs, 'evolving cars from the good old days to the good new days'. Back to the journey, we made it, had fun, grabbed a beer on the way home, before heading out of town on the train. A fun day out!
